UPDATE 21 OCT 2013: The Audience with the Ghost Finder ebook is now in its 2nd edition! The download links on this page all still work, but please note that the book no longer contains all nine Carnacki stories – just the six published during William Hope Hodgson’s lifetime. Check out the update for more details.

Audience with the Ghost Finder returns to the stage from 22 October as part of the London Horror Festival. If you’re worried you might not be able to take the tension, you can spoiler yourself silly by downloading the full playtext, handily bundled up with all nine original tales of Thomas Carnacki, all for free:

Download .EPUB (for Nook, Kobo, Sony, iBooks and many more)
Download .MOBI (for Kindle and Mobipocket)
Download .PDF (A4)

If, after reading Audience with the Ghost Finder, you develop an uncontrollable yearning to produce or perform the play, you can contact the playwright on Twitter @MJStarling or by emailing mj@mjstarling.com.

The same goes for if you notice a typo or other error, or you’d like to be able to download Audience with the Ghost Finder in another format.

William Hope Hodgson’s stories of Carnacki, the ghost finder, originally appeared in The Idler (during his lifetime), The New Magazine and Weird Tales, among other outlets (posthumously). They have since been collected in a variety of editions. The stories included in this ebook are newly edited versions of the ones made available by Forgotten Futures, the scientific romance role-playing game (which are themselves based on scans of the original magazine editions).

Hodgson’s stories are in the public domain, and the book as a whole is distributed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 Unported licence (CC BY-NC-ND 3.0).
